CLIC Awards: Recce & Saturday
Hey guys!
I'm sure you don't need reminding that you need to get your nominations in before Saturday 22nd October (that's this Saturday!) for them to be counted. If you nominate something after that we'll use it as confetti at the ceremony on Saturday 19th November 2011.
If you're not sure how to nominate something then I'm guessing you didn't read this article? Well you email the link/URL and the category you want to enter it in to sam@cliconline.org.uk or tweet the link/URL to @CLIConline or @CLICarlein with the hashtag #CLICawards or #GwobrauCLIC. You'll also find out about the nine categories. Which reminds me, Film of the Year is now Video of the Year.
Once all the nominations are in we'll then do the short-list for each category, fire off some emails, test the voting system, drink some tea and open the polls on Saturday 29th October.
We're now about a month away from the actual awards ceremony which is actually rather exciting and actually rather scary... actually. Some of us went on a recce to the National Museum Cardiff last week to figure out how we're going to lay everything out, who's going where and whether we could use the woolly mammoth (we can't).
It brought the whole event closer and clearer in my mind and if we really nail it, it's going to be a spectacular night. I thought I'd share the floorplan with you, so you too can try to envisage the event in your mind. Everything is open to change and nothing is set in stone (apart from the marble columns ba-dum-tshhh) but here's roughly what's going where in my frankly amazing illustration. What do you think?

Haha, I love the bit about the wolly mammoth, and the mammoth on the plan :') Hopefully I can go :D
