Arts Factory

Arts Factory is an independent development trust which was established in 1990 by local people who were sick of being labelled as 'problems', and who wanted to build a strong, inclusive community made up of people who share the same values.

They believe in social justice and sustainable development. They build our community by cultivating enterprise, developing people and providing facilities. They work with people from all walks of life. This is reflected in their youth programme that provides not only mainstream activity, but also honours Arts Factory's core mission, placing emphasis on meeting the needs of young people with disabilities and young people who are excluded or detached from education and society. In addressing the needs of the most marginalised young people, they maintain the view representative in the organisation logo ie "no more throw away people"
