  • Bullying

According to Cybermentors.org over 1 million children are bullied each week in the UK.
More and more people are being bullied each year, mostly due to new technology as cyber bullying has become a big problem.

If you have been bullied you will now what it feels like, it’s really not a nice feeling. I don't really know how to explain so I wanted to express my feelings through a poem that I have written myself, I wrote it for anti bullying week 2010.

Please think very carefully about the words in my poem, I hope you enjoy it.

A bully is a person, who may look big and strong,
But usually there is something wrong.
The jealously built up in their head,
Won't go away so they hurt someone instead.
Big or small, Large or tall,
They can always find a way.
Whether it's verbal, physical or cyber,
They will always end up being the liar.
If you find yourself being bullied,
Tell someone, parents, a teacher, don't be worried.
However if you are the bully, think again about everything fully.

Great poem! It's a serious topic, too. I think that some schools are not really raising awareness about it. Just giving them a detention dosen't really work since most of them have detentions alot, anyway. But, yeah it's a really good poem :) x

thanks! i agree with what your saying, teachers and even pupils need to be aware of the effects and dangers of bullying, i think more action needs to be taken.

btw i thought your friendship poem was good too, thats what made me publish my poem.

yeah, they really do. I'm a form captin for my year and all my suggestions to prevent bullying have been "taken under conciderations" and then I haven't heard about them since! But, with a new headteacher, maybe (fingers crossed!) some things may change!

And awh, thank you! and really? I think your poem is fab! I hope you write more! x
