CLICzine #7 Cover Contest!
Do you enjoy art? Want to see your work on the cover of 100,000 copies of a magazine? Now's your chance.
We want you to design the next CLICzine cover. Enter your artwork in the CLICzine #7 Cover Contest and your work could be displayed on a hundred thousand magazines all across Wales! All you have to do is to get creative.
It's a great opportunity to get your work exposed: in addition to having your artwork on the front cover, we will also feature an interview with you on the website and in the CLICzine (plus give you a lovely CLIC goody bag). CLICzine is the little printed sister of CLIConline and is distributed all over Wales.
We want your best work! It can be anything: photography, illustration, painting, collage or whatever else you like. Be creative with your design: use bright colours and be innovative. Create something which will appeal to everyone. Remember, it doesn't have to be huge. However it can't be too small either. Think of the cover as A4.
There are many design programs available for you to use for free: it's worth checking out Pixlr.com or GIMP. However, don't feel you have to make your art digital. You can also send in your physical work (if you want it returned, please include a self-addressed envelope). As you'll see with most magazines, there is information that has to go on the front. CLICzine is no exception, so remember where your focus is when designing. Below is a handy hint diagram to guide you.
Deadline for entries: Friday 17th August 2012
The final entries will be judged by our Art Panel (comprising members of the CLIC editorial team and Burning Red design studio) and you will be notified by Friday 24th August.
You will not need two designs for the cover; the Welsh and the English version are the same.
