Ferndale Community Family Day A Success
Community police officers organised a PACT family day at Greenwood Park, Ferndale where a range of activities were on offer like a football tournament, South Wales Police armed response demonstration, entertainment provided by monophonics, Karate demonstration and Jazz band demonstration and much more.....
There were various stalls, fun fair activities, play activities and raffles. D.O.E also had an archery stall there which was full for the entire day. The local members of the Detached team Ryan Strong, Kelly Lloyd, Allyn Jones, Tracey Webster and Lynne Jones all supported the event along with other organisations and said the day was truly a success with many young people turning up along with their families to support the day.
The detached team who staffed the event also patrolled the streets sign posting young people to the event! It was a successful day and hhopefully be even more successful in years ahead.
