Royal Jubilees

Did you know the first British monarch to mark 50 years on the throne in a significant way was George III? And the only other British monarch to celebrate a Diamond Jubilee was Queen Victoria in 1897? Queen Elizabeth II came to the throne on 6th February 1952 and her coronation took place on 2nd June 1953.

She celebrated her Silver Jubilee (25 years) in 1977 and her Golden Jubilee (50 years) in 2002.

I think it would be a great opportunity for you to write an article or poem about Queen Elizabeth and the Diamond Jubilee.

I would also like to know if you are having a street party and if I'm invited. I can do a good song and I am getting really good with the street dance too!

You're our queen, Wicid Nan- the queen of Wicid! I'm having a small garden party tomorrow, if you'd like to come! Haha. We can do the ChaCha Slide ;)
