Inspirational local project, PLUGGED In Magazine, has reached the final of the National Lottery Awards in the Education category and now we need everyone to show their support as the final voting stage opens on Tuesday 11th September.

The National Lottery Awards are the annual search to find the UK’s favourite projects. They recognise the life-changing difference that National Lottery funding makes to communities across the UK. The winner in each category, decided by public vote, will be celebrated at a special star-studded BBC One Show later in the year.

PLUGGED In is a music magazine developed by Gail Griffiths and Darren Warner. It is completely unique and acts as a professional magazine and educational project at the same time. PLUGGED In is a stepping stone for young people to get into the creative industries and has changed the lives of multiple young people within the community since its start.

The magazine helps to build the confidence of people and develop their own skills and interests. Chloe Bezant had never used a camera before coming to PLUGGED In. She was taught how to take photographs using professional equipment which was bought as a direct result of National Lottery funding. PLUGGED In is actively helping people follow their desired careers in the creative industries whilst producing an engaging and professional music magazine.

We’ve produced an inspirational film to showcase the impact that PLUGGED In Magazine is having in Pontypridd, which you can view here: http://vimeo.com/49197970

You can upload the film to your website, showing your support and helping to secure votes and crown PLUGGED In Magazine as the winners.

Please contact Kate Brown to receive your unique username allowing you to download the film in a range of formats, Kate@bruizer.biz or 01394 420440.

Voting runs from 11 Sept until 28 Oct – go to http://www.lotterygoodcauses.org.uk/awards/finalists
