Abercynon Sports Centre

Abercynon Sports Centre has extensive fitness classes, along with a full equipped Fitness Suite & Health Suite. There is also a Swimming Pool for public swimming, lessons and Pool Parties.

BIKE HIRE

Now there is no excuse not to cycle the Taff Trail near Abercynon Sports Centre! We offer Bike Hire facilities, (i.e. full day bike hire at £5.55 - Level 1 fee) and half day hire at £3.30 - Level 1 fee) for More Card members only. More Max members can hire bikes for NO CHARGE. To hire a bike, please complete an application form and ensure that you hold a More Card and bring proof of your identity and address, i.e. utility bill or bank statement and passport or driving licence.

LED BIKE RIDES

From Saturday 7 May 2011 for 10 weeks, INSTRUCTOR LED BIKE RIDES will be available at Abercynon Sports Centre, between 2:00 and 3:30 pm. The Instructor is qualified to national standards and the Bike Rides will be accessible to anyone aged 12 and above, (however 12-16 year olds must be accompanied by an adult). If you are bringing your own bike, the fee will be £2.50 and if you hire a bike from Abercynon Sports Centre, the cost will be £5.00. All More Max holders can attend for NO CHARGE. It is advisable to book in advance to secure your place as there is a maximum of 10 riders per session and only 5 hire bikes will be permitted per session. Please Note: ALL RIDERS MUST WEAR HELMETS.

RUNNING CLUB

A Saturday morning Walk to Run Club will be commencing on 21 May 2011 at 9 am. The Club is for adult beginners only. Please phone for details and register your name and contact number with our Receptionists.

NATIONAL POOL LIFEGUARD QUALIFICATION COURSE

A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification course will be held at Abercynon Sports Centre from Saturday 23 - Friday 29 July 2011, at a cost of £253.05. For further information and an application form please contact Mr Scott on 01443 740141.
