There’s no business like show business and Tonypandy Community College students in conjunction with LMT academy and Selsig will be showing off their talents next week (Friday 26th March) in the Muni Art Centre Pontypridd in a bid to raise money for the Mayors Charity appeal.
The evening of entertainment will kick off at 7pm and promises to be a real show stopper with students performing various songs from the most famous West End Shows and popular music. This is the second year the talented students have put on an event for the Mayors Charity appeal and last years event proved to be a massive success.
Mayor of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Councillor Robert Smith, who is delighted that the students have decided to put on the event in support of his nominated charities, said: “The talent in South Wales is fantastic; I can see that these young people are going to go on to great things.
I am so pleased that they are doing this in aid of my chosen charity’s, so while we might be having fun, its good to remember that this event is for a serious cause, the 3 charities I have chosen deliver invaluable services.”Money raised from this years Mayoral Charity Events programme will go to this years 3 charities, which are the Diabetes UK, Macmillan Cancer Support and Help for Heroes.
