The E3 / 5×60 program has continued to flourish in Bryn Celynnog Comprehensive School. Record numbers of students are now accessing our free and exciting activities which range from horse riding, music technology, driving lessons, as well as many others.

For the summer term new opportunities have been introduced including kayaking; keyboard lessons and mountain biking. We are also improving our Friday night provision by beginning skateboarding sessions in Beddau skate park from 3.30-5.30pm.

Another new development is the E3 Forum which has been set up so that we are able to get the views of young people regarding the kind of activities and events we organise. The first meeting was held in March and will continue to meet every month throughout the school year.

The E3 Film Club has again enjoyed outstanding success in the recent Zoom Cymru Film Awards held at the Muni Theatre in Pontypridd. Our film makers were winners of the Best Fiction Film for the ‘Mystery of the Forgotten Soul’. Congratulations to all those involved!!!

On 23rd March fifty young people attended the E3 / 5×60 Reward Trip to the National Swimming Pool and Planet Ice in Cardiff. This was available to the very best attenders on the E3 / 5×60 program throughout the Spring Term. Everybody had a fantastic time and we are planning to organise another reward trip for the summer term.
