It was the second fashion show held at Y Pant School, as joint venture with cluster primary schools, e3+ and New look and Outfit. Our young models, have been modelling a series of clothes, which illustrates everything that is great about British summers.
With Staycatians (staying at home is the new going away) still firmly in fashion with Parties in Porthcawl to Beaching in Barry – The girls displayed casual beach and daywear that were the BANG this summer, as well as the very best of evening wear perfect for that summer ball in The Vale.
Alongside that, over the past term, within our e3+ programme we have run a fashion design session with Elinor Franklin, a designer based in Swansea. Their brief was produce outfits from recyclable materials in order to model at a fashion show and WOW …… these girls, who are from our cluster primary schools, dazzled us with their creativity and execution.
This event was incredibly successful. All the young people that were involved were absolutely thriller that so many people came to the show. With over 100 people attending in a venue, that looked like the Milan fashion show. In attendance was Y Pant’s Assistant head, Beverley Cheetham who said “The evening was a massive success, the whole show was run with a clear aim, to provide a professional fashion show for the young people that were involved to experience, this was certainly achieved. All the girls that modelled were confident and professional. They showed also how much they enjoyed the occasion”.
