On the back of a successful dance competition, run through 5×60, in Ferndale Community School, participants came together to take part in a dance workshop in the Easter holidays. The workshop was run by Elliot Bodman, backing dancer on X Factor, who put the girls through their paces. Approximately 20 girls took part in the workshop and are now planning to get together to form a new dance academy based in Ferndale Community School. With the help of Elliot, the participants have come up with the name of ‘Laces’ Dance Academy and will be recognisable via their creative use of shoe laces. Watch this space for more ‘Laces’ news!
