Adult Learners Week Health & Well being Day!
Look out for theProgramme for WEDNESDAY 19th May 2010. Activities based around Healthand Wellbeing will be delivered from Teify House and Tenants &Residents base in Maerdy. Activities start at 10am with Healthy Eatingon a Budget, followed by Sexual Health information and Advice forPARENTS, how to make a Healthy Packed Lunch at Tenants and ResidentsBase followed by after school Smoothies and 60 Active Minutes. New Office Hours
We have set up an outreach officeat the Tenants & Residents Base in Maerdy, so the Teify HouseOffice will not be open as usual. Our new office hours are: Monday:Tenants and Residents base 2-4. Thursday: Tenants & Residents10-12. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday Teify House Office open as usualfor information and advice.

Maerdy Walking Group – Mondays @11am
Doyou want to walk with others? Meet at Teify House – walks vary inlength to cater for individual fitness and ability. Everyone iswelcome.

Rhondda Food Bank
Are you struggling financially?Benefits not come delayed? Are you in debt? The Rhondda Food bank canhelp in times of crisis. Maerdy C1st is part of the scheme. How itworks: Come to the C1st office, we fill in a voucher for you andcontact the Food bank you will then get a parcel of food to last youand your family for 3 days.

Help combat local poverty re-use locally!
Localindependent Charity toogoodtowaste is asking residents, housingassociations and landlords to donate more domestic electricalappliances for re-use, to help others in Rhondda Cynon Taf and reduceclimate change. If you have an electrical appliance that is too good towaste then ring the Charity on 01443 680090 for a free collection.Showrooms are open 9 4.00p.m. Mon Fri (Ynyshir also open Saturday)
