On Monday 12th July a group of 45 Blaengwawr Comprehensive School pupils got the chance to visit Big Country Adventures in Llanwonno to take part in various fun outdoor activities. The day was used to promote the school’s e3+ Summer Holiday programme with the majority of spaces being reserved following the day.

After leaving school at 9.30am we were met by one of the instructors in the forest before walking approximately a mile to the camp to be briefed and split in to 5 groups. We then rotated around the various activity stations, which included archery, team building situations and command tasks before finishing with the assault course. After this we were exhausted!

We planned the activity with Mr. Brock the e3+ coordinator and learnt lots of new skills like communicating and organising. We didn’t realise how much effort we had to put in to make sure everybody enjoyed the day…which we all did! Thanks e3+ and Big Country Adventures for a great day out!
