The Editorial Team are a group of young people aged between 11-25 chosen by the Editor to be responsible for writing, reporting, photographing, designing and promoting the Wicid website. The team meet monthly and are also responsible for making decisions on the content and design changes of the website.

As a member of the Editorial Group you will be tutored in the skills of journalism, graphic design, filmmaking and photography. This will be a unique opportunity for you to receive work experience and develop a portfolio to show prospective employers or colleges.

You don’t have to know how to do it already; you just have to have enthusiasm, commitment and willingness to put in the time and effort.

The Editor will work directly with the Youth Editorial Group to evaluate, ensure the ongoing development of the website, and content production.

Being a member of the team is a big responsibility, a challenge but also a lot of fun! The Editorial Team’s main objective is to get everyone involved in the website and spread the word of Wicid. It’s a big task, but members will be rewarded for their hard work, with plenty of opportunities along the way and an accreditation awarded at the end to show for it.

The Team can receive accreditations in their chosen specialist subjects, from creative writing, to editing, photography and filmmaking. Accreditation will be arranged where appropriate and where sufficient progress/development has been made with team members.

Unfortunately there are a limited number of places on the editorial team, but we are happy to accept applications from anyone who would like to do it, and even if you’re not part of the team, Wicid is for all the young people across RCT and you can still write and contribute content.

Don’t worry if you miss out on being a member this time, new members are chosen all the time!

If you are interested in joining the group please fill in the application and the Editor will get back to you. If you have any questions contact
