How many of you remember James Blunt?
Y’know, the one who sang “You’re Beautiful”?
Well, if you didn’t know, he’s a former army captain and served in Kosovo in ’99 before becoming a pop star, and guess what?
No, close, but I’ll tell you the answer.
He is going back on the front lines to fight the Taliban, but not in the way you might think.
James Blunt has said he has got a plan to bring an end to the war in Afghanistan. How? Well, he’s going to sing the Taliban into submission. Obvious tactic there…
“I’m tired of the Afghanistan war and I’m going to go out and fix it,” Blunt stated. “I’m going out there at Christmas time and will sing the Taliban into surrender. If I can’t do it, then who can?
“And if that doesn’t work, then I’m going to take Katherine Jenkins with me and set her on to them. We’ll flush them out somehow!”
So, James Blunt’s off to Afghanistan to sing the Taliban to surrender. Though I doubt that singing “Goodbye My Lover” would convince them to stop fighting.
