During 2 weeks last summer, 10 young people (aged 16-20), with 2 Youth Leaders from RCT CBC Services for Youth People, travelled to Wresznia, Poland, to participate in the annual RCT SFYP International Youth Exchange.
They joined 30 young people from France, Germany, and of course Poland, to discuss the issues affecting young people across Europe; volunteering at a Centre for adults with learning difficulties (including organising a sports day); enjoying the beautiful countryside and local places of interest, and making new friends.

The group worked hard at the many meetings, workshops and activities which took place over the course of the fortnight, particularly on the intercultural aspect of the visit – taking with them Welsh food, music and traditions – and putting Wales and RCT on the map!

On her return, Harriet Costello, a pupil from Y Pant Comprehensive, said: “ I was really looking forward to the Exchange, but I didn’t realise what a fantastic opportunity it would be, the two weeks went really fast and I wish it had been 3 weeks!”
This year, it is the turn of RCT to host the Exchange, and we look forward to welcoming the young people from Europe to Wales!
