Who am I?

By -

I’ve never tried anything like this before, someone gave me the idea, so I thought I’d have a go 🙂

I never knew my father. I never knew my mother
I don’t have any sisters, I don’t have a brother
I was adopted from birth, I fell from the sky
And it left me with one question “Who am I?”.

With Super human strength, oblivious to gravity
Faster then a speeding bullet “Is it all insanity?”
From freezing breath to scolding hot eyes
I have to hide who I really am, wear a disguise.

I’m a well mannered reporter, that’s all you see
An everyday normal girl but this isn’t really me
I need to be this woman to keep my loved ones safe
If my enemies found out, their life would be erased.

I’m in love with a man, but we can never be
He’s in love with the hidden part, which is inside me
If only I could tell him, “I’m one and the same”
If only we could be to ease each others pain.

I’m called the woman of steel I’m known for my uniqueness
I’m not invincible, for kryptonite is my weakness
I’m torn between these lives I need to be set free
I need to know who am I? “which one is the real me?”.

I know exactly how you feel! Some days I can’t write anything but then some days I just sit there and let my fingers flow on the keyboard (or let the ink flow out of my pen… depends on the situation) and the words just… appear! and no problem, I’m sure there are lots of people who like your writing and not just me 😀 x
