Letters Not To Be Sent:- Letter 6

I thought I’d start off by saying that I dislike you. You know that, I know that, I think everyone knows that. You are just a stupid person from my past and I want to keep it that way. You keep emailing me and saying how you’ve “changed”. Well, clearly not because you’re still as annoying and irritating as you was 10 years ago! Every summer, you and I used to fight like hell. I’d end up being upset every year for the same reasons. We’d fight for the majority of the year but summer was the worst. Why should I be your friend? I mean look at what you did; you wound me by slamming a plastic doll into my chest, you told my friends I hated them so they no longer liked me, you attempted to strangle me, you sat on my doorstep when my stepdad was working nights and you’d shout at the top of your lungs to wake him up, you just wouldn’t leave me alone. That’s why I ended up punching you in the face. I’m not normally violent but you, sunshine, just crossed the line in the end. I had to cope with you for what, 9/10 years? You were a pain in the backside and from what I’ve heard from the kids that used to go to your school, you still flipping are.
Since you moved from my street and to wherever you are now, my life improved. I have new friends, I’ve found out who I am, my life is just much better now. I do not want you to come back into it and mess it all up again like before. Just stay out of it, yeah? I mean it’s been about five years since you left my life and for the first three, you kept quiet and that was great. Now you’ve lost your friends where you are, you want me and all your old friends from our primary back in your life. Well I’ve got news for you – I’m not taking you back as a friend. True, the other kids might add you on Facebook and possibly (which I doubt) meet up with you again, but not me. No thanks. I’m too occupied with my life and I’m enjoying every minute of it. You will only make it hell again. Do me a favour? Leave me alone.
