I went to see ‘The Borrower Arrietty’ at Vue cinema in Cardiff with my mum. I decided to go and see it because ‘The Borrower’ is one of my favourite films, and I was glad I went. The movie is about a little girl who is very small. The movie was made as a Japanese animated fantasy film which came out in 2010 and it just hit the cinemas. The story takes place in Koganei, Western Tokyo, and the borrowers in the movie are living under the floorboards, they’re 10cm tall. The main characters are a mother and a father, but in some of the movie they made in 1992 or 1993 Arrietty doesn’t have a brother, but in the one made in 1997 she does. In the new film she doesn’t have a brother and is the only child in her family. Arrietty meets a human boy called Sho and has a lot of fun, but at the end Arrietty has to go away again with her mother, father and spiller to a new home.
The Borrower Arrietty’ in my opinion was very good and a lot of fun. I’m going to give it 9/10. So if you like this type of film you should go and see it.
