In one weeks time, the final race of the 2011 Formula 1 World Championship will begin. This year has been dominated by the Red Bull Racing Formula 1 team and Sebastian who both took their 2nd consecutive world title.
Last year the Drivers Championship was very close with 4 drivers in the hunt for the Championship. At this point in the season, Red Bull also had the opportunity to take the Constructors Championship for their 1st time, which they did with Vettel winning the race and Webber finishing 2nd.
The 71 lap race consists of 15 corners and 2 main straights. The circuit is 4.309 km in length and 305.909 km race distance. The lap record was set by nJuan Pablo Montoya with a 1:11.473 seconds in 2004. With KERS and DRS now been introduced into Formula 1, will anyone be able to beat that record or will Montoya keep that record?
Can Webber do anything about his team mates charge? Can Vettel continue his charge?
Or can anyone else come into the picture and stop Red Bull’s charge of pole positions and wins?
