art and craft in Tonyrefail

The art project has now finished (unfortunately) after 6 weeks of work. Five young people from Tonyrefail came together for two hours every Wednesday at Capel Farm resource centre to engage with activities such as foam work to start off, followed by T shirt making, decopatch, clay work, and a couple of catch up sessions. The course was accredited with ASDAN activities award, where each young person had to do at least 10 hours work.

The young people really enjoyed the project, and one session was observed by Les Davies, Deputy Team Leader of the detached team. The sessions were relaxed, calm and were a lot of fun. In fact, I think laughter seemed to be the main ingredient of this course!

Sophie wrote: “I thought it was cool it was actually really entertaining as well and I have never been to a place where it has been so easy to make friends.”
