Alright, young people of RCT! Are you a fan of the great outdoors? Do you like being a nice person and raising money for charity? Pull up your walking boots and take part in the Big Welsh Walk!

Over one thousand young people from all 22 Welsh Counties have the opportunity to embrace the outdoors at 12 noon on 3rd November to take part in an allocated section of a marathon challenge to walk the new Wales Coastal Path as part of celebrating National Youth Work Week 2012.

Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to walk up to 6 miles along the coastal route. All your equipment will be provided, so don’t fret!

As long as you’re between 11-25 (or accompanying staff, of course), you’re more than free to join in. All you have to do is complete a booking form and return it to allyson.davies@rctcbc.gov.uk before 27th September 2012. If you’ve any queries, then you can give Allyson a ring on 01443 744000 or email the address above.

You don’t have to pay for it, but you should try and get sponsorship for your allocated charity. There isn’t a minimum amount that you have to raise, but it would be really cool if you could get a great wad of money.

After your booking form is accepted, you will receive your sponsorship form, kit list and transport arrangements some time in early October.

It’s a great opportunity to get involved, do something for the community and raise some cash!
