Friend of the Foe are a 4-piece heavy metal band from Rhondda Cynon Taff. They originate from the Tonyrefail area and the band members have all come together to perform gigs at various venues, covering some amazing songs like:
Friend of the Foe are influenced by a range of bands like Metallica, A Day To Remember, Megadeth, Slayer, System of a Down and Bullet For My Valentine.
It seems like a massive bunch of different-sounding bands to be motivated by, but they cover songs superbly well and also add an edge of their own.
They are currently working on writing some original material, which I know will definitely be appealing to the heavy-music listeners out there. Alongside this, I think some lighter music lovers would benefit from going along to a couple of their gigs to listen to a range of genres performed by Friend of the Foe.
They are building up a portfolio of songs, that in future will include some acoustic sets to go against their heavier music choice. This will help balance out the band’s tempo and conflicting styles and make their gigs more approachable to people who have a slightly softer taste in music.
