Directioners Are Doing Good

As I’ve said before, there’s a stereotype attached to the fandom I’m in (Directioners for One Direction, you know) that we’re crazy and weird and a disgrace to anyone. But we’re not like that. Well, not all of us.

Directioner, Amy, has put together a project in aid of One Direction member, Louis Tomlinson’s 22nd birthday.

Louis has previously fundraised and donated to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, including holding a charity football match, and now the fans have taken the reigns to take part and help out this worthy cause which is close to the Doncaster boy’s heart.

Instead of sending fan mail and presents for Tomlinson’s birthday, Amy is encouraging fans to log onto justgiving.com/louisbirthday to help raise money for the charity.

On the page, Amy says:

Louis Tomlinson has done so much for fans and for Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice so we, the fans, would like to give back – both to Louis and Bluebell Wood. In honor of his 22nd birthday, we are collecting donations for Bluebell Wood. You can read all about our latest efforts at 1dfansgive.com or follow us on our Twitter and/or YouTube channel. We are also selling t-shirts with the proceeds going to this charity drive at http://1dfansgive.spreadshirt.com.

Feel free to email me with questions!

Amy

The project has been noticed by the charity itself and Louis’ mum, Johannah, who is also happily supporting the idea. There’s even a website for the project with all the details, check it out: http://www.1dfansgive.com/

Directioners from across the globe are donating for the cause and are even buying from the project’s online store (http://1dfansgive.spreadshirt.com) – with all proceeds also going to Bluebell Wood.

If you’d like to donate to a great cause, please visit the Just Giving page or if you’d like to ask questions, go to @1DfansGive on Twitter or www.1Dfansgive.com,
