Three of the main presenters on GTFM 107.9 are micing up and pushing up their levels this weekend for a 75 hour live broadcast. The GTFM radiothon is to celebrate the radio station’s 12th birthday.

This event is also a chance to raise funds for the station, who are a registered charity, and Rhondda Breast Friends – a group for people who have or have had breast cancer to make friends, speak and support to one another and help each other through a difficult and scary time.

The presenters have been working hard for months leading to this weekend to raise funds for their chosen charity and themselves, with many other community groups and individuals getting involved.

The broadcast will include special guests, live music performers, competitions and a packed schedule to keep you entertained (and the presenters awake!).

Other activities already confirmed are a Rhondda Breast Friends Coffee Morning at Frankie and Benny’s, Nantgarw on Friday 30th May. Charity bucket collections will also take place at Pontypridd’s Sainsbury’s on Saturday 31st,and Tesco Upper Boat on Sunday 1st June.

Some of very own WICID.tv editorial members have also organised a sponsored run to raise funds for both charities.

You can support GTFM and Rhondda Breast Friends by texting “GTFM12” and your amount to 70070, and by tuning in.
