Yes, you read that right. A 30,000 calorie burger has been created by a man called John Clarkson. The burger contains: black pudding, steak pie and mushroom, pork, burgers, pork pies, chips, bacon, spam and spaghetti bolognese.
The ‘Meal-Of-Its-Own’ stands at the same height as an average human being, 5ft 4in and weighs around 11-and-a-half-pounds and can be seen in Mister Eater’s Eating Emporium in Preston, Lancashire. If you compare this monster-sized burger to an average burger and a Burger King, you would need roughly 100 Burger King cheese burgers to have the same amount of calorie intake as the monster burger.
Considering the daily calorie intake for a healthy man stands at 2,500 calories a day, this burger would keep a man eating for two whole weeks.
Personally, I wouldn’t know where to start eating it, let alone work out how much I’m going to eat per-day; I mean, don’t get me wrong, every now and then I have a day where I just steak out and munch everything I can get my hands on, but with this monster burger I would only need to look at it before thinking that I’m full.
One of the questions that crossed my mind when falling across the news that this man had created a 30,000 calorie monster burger was: “Why would you want to stick so many different foods together in a bun?”
I mean, don’t get me wrong, I like most of the foods that he has put together, but I would never consider putting them all together, especially if that is the calorie amount that’s created.
