Wake up! It’s a brand new day and the beginning of a brand new month.
Visualise yourself – you’re awake, energised, you are ready to take on the world.
Smile. Today will be a good day.
Tuesday 1 July marks the annual ‘World Motivation Day’. We’re halfway through the year, and some of you may feel that you have lost your mojo that you had at the beginning of it.
It’s not about making lists of unachievable goals. Start small. Today is about inspiring others to be the best person that you can be. What motivates YOU as a person?
Below are a few tips that could help you motivate yourself:
- Take some time to write down your goals or ambitions that you’d like to achieve. These will give you a target to aim for, then the feeling you’ll get when you have accomplished a task will make you happy
- What obstacles would get in the way of you achieving your goals?
- Can you think of any benefits from setting these achievements?
- Involve your friends or family. Having the support and encouragement from those closest to you will help. They may even join you on your challenge and then you can give each other confidence to keep going.
Imagine you have been asked to give a presentation in front of people. You’re going to feeling nervous and trepidation beforehand. But picture yourself at the end. Close your eyes and listen to the sound of the applause from the audience watching you. That’s your moment, embrace it.
It is always important to reward yourself for completing your tasks. Even if it’s something like having a slice of chocolate cake, or watching an hour of your favourite television show. The thought of your treat will be something to keep you motivated through the day.
