Media Arts Week was delivered by Wicid staff and attractedyoung people with an interest in film, photography and creative writing. Thesessions ran alongside The Rock Factory, where young people spent the weekinterviewing musicians, documenting sessions, as well as photographing andreviewing the live showcase performance.
Chloe impressed staff as she excelled in creative writing,completing accreditation to GCSE level. Chloe has also had her reviews of Ponty’s BigWeekend and Merthyr Rock published on the Wicid website and is eager todevelop her skills and accreditation with Wicid in the new school term.
“I really enjoyed the Media Week,I thought it was going to be fun but to get a GCSE out of it is amazing! I gotto try photography, too, which is something I have always wanted to try. I madenew friends during the week and would definitely recommend it to anyone with aninterest in media “
