And the campaign gets under way:
This week, 7 leaders will go head to head on ITV to answer your questions, young and old can get involved. The only TV debate to include all seven party leaders will be broadcast on ITV on Thursday 2nd April at 8pm. Included for the first time will be leader of Plaid Cymru, Leanne Wood.
The Labour leader, Ed Miliband, seems to have won the Sky News and Channel 4 leaders interview. David Cameron came out very popular though; he didn’t hold back from questions and he held his own when he was asked about key issues like the NHS and Immigration.
David Cameron told the BBC in an exclusive interview that he will stand down after a second term if he wins this year’s election – he added that there are fresh faces needed for the Conservative Party like Boris Johnson and Theresa May.
One major issue back home in Wales is that young people want to have the right to vote at the age of 16, Assembly members in Cardiff Bay are currently debating whether or not to lower the age of voting.
I’ll have the very latest on all the developments of the General Election on Wicid.tv over the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned!
