Scotland 29 Vs 16 Wales

Scotland hadn’t beaten Wales for 10 years before coming into this game but they were feeling very confident. Wales were affected by the heartbreak against England and knew that whoever lost this game, couldn’t win the 6 Nations. The teams exchanged a penalty each before Liam Williams scored a good try that was created by the quick thinking of Rhys Webb. Leigh Halfpenny’s amazing kicking and Finn Russel (kicking instead of the injured Greig Laidlaw) 100% kicking made the half time score 9-13. Scotland started the second half with all of the possession and scored a try. Wales didn’t have many opportunities with the ball which meant that they only scored 3 points in the second half. Scotland extended their lead and there was no way back for Wales. Wales cannot win the championship but is this Scotland’s year of revival?

Ireland 19 Vs 9 France

France has been performing well lately and beat Scotland in the last game so they were looking to try and beat Ireland. Ireland know that they can’t slip up against a team like France because they know if they loose another game after their loss to Scotland they cannot win the Championship. The looser in this game couldn’t win the 6 nations. France started the game strongly and put lots of pressure on Ireland and nearly scored a try but it was disallowed but won two penalties to make the score 0-6 in France’s favor. Connor Murray scored a sneaky try for Ireland. Jonny Sexton had a great game on his return who converted the try, scored a penalty and then scored a drop goal from 40 meters away. Ireland had the lead at half-time, 13-6. France was playing attacking rugby which was exciting to watch. The teams exchanged a penalty each and the game finished with Ireland with more points. France came close and lost by 10 points but their title hopes are over. The only teams that can stop England now are Scotland and Ireland.

England 36 Vs 15 Italy

Many people were predicting this to be a record score in the 6 Nations by England because of their unstoppable form and the amount that Italy lost to Ireland in the last round, but things didn’t quite go as planned for England. There had been a lot of talk in the week that Italy should be removed from the 6 nations but this match proved many people wrong. Italy had found a clever way to change the game: they seemed to be standing in England’s attacking line! This is because if no one from Italy goes into the ruck, it is therefore not a ruck. There is an offside circle with the radius of a meter around the tackle but there is no offside line which meant that the Italian players could stand where they wanted on the pitch. England were furious and very angry and confused that Italy was changing the game. The players asked the referee and he said: “I am the referee, not your coach” which made them even more confused. It took England 23 minutes to score a try with a driving maul.

Italy scored a drop goal before scoring a great try that was from a penalty that bounced off of the post. Italy went in at half time beating England 5-10. England came back in the second half with an instant reaction scoring a try from a tap penalty but Owen Farrell missed for the second time in the match. The score was 10-10. Elliot Daly scored a good try in the corner and Owen Farrell converted this time. It was not over for Italy, Campagnaro scored a fantastic solo try beating 3 defenders. England tried very hard in the last 10 minutes and scored the bonus point try. They finished in style and scored 2 more unstoppable tries that made the final score 36-15.
