Are you a musician, visual artist, dancer or actor? Do you have a great idea for an arts project but don’t know where to begin?

The Community Artists Training Scheme provides artists of all art forms with a general idea of community arts practice, and highlights different ideas to think about when preparing community-based arts projects. The scheme provides artists of all ages and experience levels, with the knowledge and skills to develop their own creative ideas.

This was organised by the Arts Development Teams from Caerphilly, Merthyr Tydfil, Blaenau Gwent, Torfaen, Bridgend and Rhondda Cynon Taf Borough Councils and also by Head4Arts. This Community Arts Organisation is based in the South East Valleys.

The training will be delivered by the team and a number of guest speakers.

The topics which will be covered includes: Starting out, Sealing the Deal, Walking the Walk, Impact/ Follow Up and Show me the Money.

The course will run from 10am – 4pm on 21st-25th October at Llanhilleth Miners Institute, Llanhilleth.  The course will cost £50 per person – lunches and refreshments will be provided.
