Young people aged 16+ in the Rhondda Fach are currently being given an opportunity to learn a range of practical skills.

The partnership project involves Construction Youth Trust delivering a range of tasters in carpentry, tiling, plumbing, painting and decorating to young people who are currently not in education, employment or training but who are keen to sharpen their skills as a possible route into first time employment.

The weekly 2 hour sessions are delivered in the Skills Centre at Ferndale Community School and is supported by staff from Ontrack and Maerdy Communities First
