Doctor Who returned to our screens 23rd April 2011 with ‘The Impossible Astronaut’. It returned with The Doctor (Matt Smith), Amy Pond (Karen Gillan), Rory Williams/Pond (Arthur Darvil) and River Song (Alex Kingston) and in memory of Elisabeth Sladen who played Sarah Jane Smith and passed away this year. The episode started the series on a slightly darker note but the funny side was still there. I will not explain what happened just in case you haven’t seen it yet. As always the special effects, the acting and the story line were brilliant. This episode was only part 1 of a 2 parter (Every show I watch has to have cliffhangers). I rate this episode 10 out of 10. This was the first time Doctor Who has ever filmed in America and no doubt the actors were knocked down by stampede of Doctor Who fans.
