Get Fit And Join In With This Fun Fitness Fundraiser

With today’s gadgets and technology, we don’t really spend much free time moving around because we’re either glued to the TV or our computers and gadgets. However, we should take full advantage of any great activities and events whenever possible and here’s one event you should keep in mind and participate in.

On Thursday, 23rd May, in Ysgol Gyfun Y Cymer Sports Hall there will be a fun fitness fundraiser in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. This event is run by Focus on Fitness. Focus on Fitness has great opportunities for people to participate in affordable, community-based exercise classes and help you achieve your fitness goals by providing advice and assessments sessions. F.O.F has operated for six years to provide these affordable exercises in the community to both adults and children within Rhondda Cynon Taf.

If you’re interested in getting fit and raising money for one fantastic cause, then pop along to Ysgol Gyfun Y Cymer’s Sports Hall at 5:45pm for registration on Thursday 23rd May. The Keep Fit Session and DJ will take place between 6pm-7pm and there will be refreshments and a fabulous raffle between 7pm-8pm. The cost is just £5 plus your sponsorship and all proceeds will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support. Trainers are an essential but it’s optional to dress up to make the event just that extra bit fun.

People who have been involved with Focus on Fitness in the past have given nothing but positive feedback. Participant, Valery, said “I thoroughly enjoy it, feel far more toned than I have for years. Long may the classes continue!”, and Danielle said, “I particularly enjoy that you are able to work at your own pace. I look forward to the classes which is a first as far as exercise is concerned.”
