How To Use Photoshop

Hello, MobaUnited here with a tutorial article which you might find helpful. I have been using Photoshop for many months now and was able to learn the basics. If you have CS4, CS5, CS6 then this should help you.

A huge advantage of Photoshop is you can do much much more than other editing programs and you learn more as you use it.

The best way to learn Photoshop is to go to clubs or classes to learn the basics of Lightening Underexposed Images, Correcting Color Casts and White Balance Problems. These basic adjustments are covered in nearly every introductory Photoshop class and book (or should be) so I’ll just cover them quickly. You must be average in these to get anywhere with Photoshop for getting the most out of images. If you can’t find any clubs then YouTube or the tutorial video for Photoshop will help.

Experienced photographers feel a little bit sorry for people who play around with RAW files just so they can correct exposure and white balance. You can do it all to any JPG image in Photoshop without all the hassle.

You can get the basics from any Adobe Magazine or from a professional or even the built-in help that comes with Photoshop.

Photoshop has been around since the 1980’s when it was basically only used by professionals. Therefore, it uses terms from traditional professional photography and even the commercial print business. Often, these terms are exactly the opposite of what you’d expect. The most obviously labeled tools are sometimes the worst way to do things, so read up on how to use it.

People spend entire careers learning how to use Photoshop correctly. There’s more to learn than any of us will be able to master. We should learn what’s relevant to what we want – or hope – to achieve through Photoshop.

So, figure out how to use many different tools and do graphics yourself.
