Over the past 5 weeks, I’ve been glued to my TV every Friday night on ITV Cymru Wales.
No, not just for ‘The X Factor‘ but for a much more interesting programme.
‘Helimeds’ is a documentary following the remarkable work of the Wales Air Ambulance; this year the fantastic newsreader Andrea Byrne has taken over as presenter of this year’s addition.
She’s normally on our TV screens each week-night keeping us up to date with the latest news on ITV Wales At Six, but she swapped the news desk for the cock pit of the three helicopters, seeing how the paramedics respond to life threatening emergencies.
This year’s five episodes have so far featured remarkable stories, from all across Wales, from the north to the far south. We’ve also seen not just how the aircrafts respond day-to-day but we’ve seen how the charity actually functions.
On the right hand side there are a selection of episodes and the normal day job of a certain host. Mrs Byrne. Enjoy!
