The Centre is situated in the grounds of Ferndale Community School, in thevillage of Maerdy at the top end of the Rhondda Fach. We welcome young people, aged 11 25 to come along with their friends to enjoy the facilities.
We are open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 6:30to 9:00pm offering a varied programme including football, rugby, art, craft, dance, music, pool, table tennis, minor games and discussion.
If you want to surf the net or catch up with that pieceof homework we have a five station computer suite, but if all this activitydoesn’t suit you then you can watch TV, listen to music or just chat with yourfriends.
At the Centre we will help you to organise the types ofevent you want. The possibilities are as wide as sitting talking to youthworkers about the things than interest you, to arranging a weekend away, a BBQor a trip to the cinema. We realise that whatever we do must be what you wantto do and most of all it must be fun.
Last year we ran two weekend trips to the Forest of Deanand the Isle of Wight and several trips to the cinema, ice skating and bowling.
So you see, you can call in with your friends to playpool, listen to music or do much, much more, so why not come along and see ifit’s for you!!!
