Plugged In Photography Course Session 2

On Tuesday 14th November I attended the second session of the Plugged In Photography Course in Pontypridd Library.

At the start of the session we took a look at a short Powerpoint presentation about Apertures, Shutter Speeds and ISO.

The Powerpoint really helped me with using Apertures in a live performance gig as I was photographing my first live performance gig on Saturday, 17th November, in The Factory, Porth. The bands I was taking photos of were The Vendettas, from Pontypridd, Blackbyrd, from the Rhondda, and High Voltage, an AC/DC tribute band from Aberdare.

After the Powerpoint we each were given a camera by Darren (the tutor) and started having a go at adjusting the Aperture and Shutter Speed.

When I first started using the camera I was struggling to change the Aperture, but then I got the hang of it and was up and around the room taking photos while adjusting the Shutter Speed and Aperture.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the second session of the course and I am looking forward to learning more about photography, and photographing live gigs and events in the future.
