Top 9 things to remember when presenting a radio show

Top 9 things to remember when presenting a radio show.

1.) Do not headbutt the mic. This was demonstrated by
‘someone’ many times on the Wicid weekenders radio

2.) Think of what you are going to say before you go on
air. I have done this so many times and it just makes you
sound unprofessional.

3.) Don’t play songs you like. Play songs the public would
like because your trying to entertain them not your self.
This was once again demonstrated by ‘someone’ playing ‘wet’
by Nicole Shirtzinger.

4.) Never have an argument on air because once again
you will sound unprofessional.

5.) When playing the song question in the quiz show
check first if the correct song is in the cart.
Which have all done during our show at some point.

6.) Keep an eye on how long is left of the song because
if your song has run out the the listeners will get very
bored of silence very quickly.

7.) Always remember to switch the mics on when
the other presenters are having a very good debate.

8.) Don’t always talk about formula 1!
Because the listeners will get bored.

9.) Make sure you have some way of printing off the quiz
before the show.

Having listened to your show multiple times, it’s funny to think how many times you’ve done all those things! I still enjoy your show though =)

I think number 8 is very important! However SOME people don’t tend to stick to that one! haha. Great tips, Math! I think you should print them off and hand them to your co-presenters. They really need to follow them ;D

PS:- 3 should also say “If you are going to play songs you like, don’t flipping sing along to them because it’s annoying *cough* Callum & David *cough* haha. Only joking, you guys are good at what you do 🙂
