Area Forum Meetings

The Rhondda Cynon Taf Youth Forum supports young people across RCT to have a voice and be heard, to make a positive contribution in their local community and across RCT. Joining your local forum gives you the opportunity to have your say on the issues that affect young people in your local area, and engage in regular meetings and projects in your communities and across RCT.

This year we are engaging in a number of projects:

Votes@16 Campaign – for the first time young people aged 16 and 17 years can vote in the Senedd elections, our members will educate other young people across RCT in the voting process, using a variety of media including vlogs, podcasts, posts and other creative ways.

Champions of Wales – delivered in partnership with Safer Wales, participating in workshops to build skills, confidence and awareness of gender equality, championing girls rights in the local community and developing projects to address issues.

Young Voices Conversation – working with the Police and Crime Commissioner and South Wales Police to create a forum, representing young people aged 11-25 years commenting on police and safety issues. Speaking to police leaders and other organisations about the issues that impact them in their everyday lives, supporting the police to engage more positively with young people across RCT. Working together to develop a more young people friendly website
