SUMMER TERM ACTIVITIES START ON: TUESDAY 23RD MARCH AND END ON FRIDAY 12th MARCH 2024. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO BOOK ON NEW ACTIVITIES FROM TUESDAY 9TH MARCH AT 12PM NOON.

To book, click: “Add to Basket” on your chosen activities, but don’t forget to confirm your booking by clicking “Confirm/Book Now”.

Ensure you have your parent/carer’s e-mail address or mobile number available, as they will then need to reply to the text/e-mail they receive from us with a completed consent form.

Your space on the activity won’t be 100% confirmed until the consent form is returned.

Holiday Provision

Swimming @ CIP
Swimming trip to Cardiff International Pool.

Bus pick-ups as follows:

Bryn Celynnog Comprehensive School, Penycoedcae Road, Beddau – 10am (return approx. 2.30pm)

Garth Olwg Youth Club, St Illtyd’s Road, Llantwit Fadre – 10.15am (return approx. 2.15pm)

Hawthorn High School, School Lane, Hawthorn – 10.30am (return approx. 2pm)

This is an indoor activity. You will need a swimming costume, towel, possible change of clothes, etc. Goggles are optional. Inflatables (other than arm bands) are not permitted. You may wish to bring a packed lunch and a drink or a small amount of money to purchase food/drink from the on-site café.
Buzz Trampolining
Two-hour jump session at Buzz! Cardiff.

Bus pick-ups as follows:

Bryn Celynnog Comprehensive School, Penycoedcae Road, Beddau – 10.30am (return approx. 3.30pm)

Garth Olwg Youth Club, St Illtyd’s Road, Llantwit Fadre – 10.45am (return approx. 3.15pm)

Hawthorn High School, School Lane, Hawthorn – 11am (return approx. 3pm)

This is an indoor activity. We advise you wear comfortable clothing. If you have grip socks then please bring them with you. You may wish to bring a packed lunch and a drink or a small amount of money to purchase food/drink from the on-site café. You may also want to bring a £1 coin to use a locker.
Firefighter for a Day (Monday)
YEPS Ilan Youth Club has been invited to take 20 young people to Tonypandy Fire Station as part of their REFLECT programme, to become Firefighter for the Day.

This will include an educative section and a practical one. Young people will get involved with: Hose running, Dam Building, Search and Rescue, Problem Solving, Team Building, and more. Valuable insight will be gained into the role of a Fire Fighter.

We are offering 10 spaces per day. You only need to attend ONE day, not both.

Minibus will pick up from: Hawthorn High School at 9am with an approx. return time of 4pm. You will need to bring a packed lunch and drink. There will be nowhere to purchase food on the day.

Please wear comfortable clothing and suitable, flat footwear.

YEPS Fashion Show
YEPS invites you to its first Environmentally Friendly Fashion Show. Young people and YEPS staff will model garments and accessories they have made in their youth clubs this term, from materials that have been upcycled; milk cartons, old clothes, cans, crisp packets, you name it. There will also be a Zero Waste buffet lunch and many activities including: a Clothes Swap Shop, Pyrography, Rock Painting, and more eco-related activities.

There is no dress code. Food is provided but we are asking that all attendees bring a re-usable water bottles as we are trying to keep the event plastic-free.
