During October half term the Detached youth workers in the Y pant cluster area arranged activities for the young people in the area.
The activities the young people wanted were go karting at Supa Kart and paint-balling at Task force. The activities were well attended with young people from all areas in the cluster such as Llanharry, Llanharran, Pontyclun and Brynna. The young people had a great time and are already looking forward to future activities.
During this half term as Detached youth workers we help staff a Heatherton park trip which was a cluster run trip organised out of Y pant School. We had places to take young people we see on Detached sessions and the coach on the day was jam packed with young people which was very pleasing. The young people on the day took part in all sorts of activities such as archery, quadding and clay pigeon shooting to name a few.
It was a popular day and all staff concerned worked well to put on a fun and exciting day for young people.
All through the half term week there was provision for young people every day so well done to the Y pant cluster. Possibly a good sign of things to come!
